The 2024 flagship event of the World Food Forum (WFF) will take place from 14 to 18 October at the Headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Rome, Italy.
Convened under the overall theme “Good food for all, for today and tomorrow”, the event will focus on three main pillars: Global Youth Action, Science and Innovation, and Hand-in-Hand Investment. This year, the event will also host the 2024 edition of the annual World Food Day and the High-Level Rome Water Dialogue on WASAG – The Global Framework on Water Scarcity in Agriculture, as well as the Global Family Farming Forum, ensuring even more inclusivity, dialogues and solutions for the present and future of our agrifood systems.
The flagship event aims to facilitate debates among a wide range of stakeholders, including young individuals, farmers, indigenous peoples, policymakers, agri-investors, and scientists from all around the world. The goal is to forge new paths of action, impact and acceleration on the local, regional and global levels to expedite agrifood systems transformation and climate action.
A delegation from the World Farmers’ Organisation will participate in the WFF 2024 flagship event. This delegation will prominently feature students from the fourth edition of the Gymnasium Program, acting as distinguished representatives of the global farmers’ voice in important discussions on food systems, specifically highlighting the crucial role of young farmers.
