The World Biodiversity Summit 2023 will take place on September 21 alongside the 78th Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA78) and Climate Week NYC.
The World Biodiversity Summit aims to bridge the climate, finance and health discussions with the biodiversity agenda. It offers a unique platform to facilitate exchange and discuss cross-sectoral collaboration opportunities between public and private sector stakeholders from across the globe to successfully implement the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and achieve the 2050 Vision for Biodiversity. These include the pressing need for investments in nature-based solutions.
The President of the World Farmers’ Organisation (WFO), Mr Arnold Puech d’Alissac, will bring the global farmer’ voice into the debate, addressing the session: “Back to Basics – Advancing Sustainable Agriculture and Resilient Food Systems”.
