The sixty-eighth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68) is scheduled from 11 to 22 March 2024, at the UN headquarters in New York, USA. It will convene representatives from Member States, UN entities, and ECOSOC-accredited non-governmental organisations worldwide.
CSW68‘s priority theme focuses on accelerating gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls by addressing poverty and strengthening institutions and financing with a gender perspective.
The review theme pertains to social protection systems, access to public services, and sustainable infrastructure for gender equality and women’s empowerment. The Bureau, responsible for facilitating session preparations and outcomes, consists of members from various regional groups. Preparatory activities include an Expert Group Meeting on the session’s priority theme. The session will include proposed organizational work, side events, and the negotiation of agreed conclusions on the priority theme’s outcomes.
A delegation of WFO representatives will be at CSW68 to ensure the voices of the women farmers’ from all over the world will be heard clear and loud.
