The UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) will convene at the level of heads of state and government under the auspices of the UN General Assembly (UNGA), from 24-25 September 2019. Such meetings take place every four years, and the meeting in 2019 – also known as the SDG Summit – is the first UN summit on the SDGs since the adoption of the 2030 Agenda in September 2015.

The United Nations SDG Summit will be chaired by the President of the General Assembly and will result in a concise negotiated political declaration.
