On February 25th and 26th, the WFO Secretary General, Arianna Giuliodori, attended the International Seed Federation (ISF) Spring Meetings in Porto, Portugal.
She joined several sessions bringing the farmers’ perspective into the discussions on plant breeding innovation and sustainable agriculture.
“Farmers have always been innovators because they need to adapt to their environment. We want the widest possible toolbox for innovation. We want to see farmers and other actors in the value chain bring pragmatic solutions to the table,” highlighted the WFO Secretary General during her speech.
She shared with the ISF members, already partners of “The Climakers”, how “The Climakers” multi-stakeholder alliance provides bottom-up, pragmatic solutions to climate change for the benefit of the wider agricultural sector.
