Like last year, a delegation of 15 young farmers has been invited by the German Ministry of Food and Agriculture to attend the Global Forum on Food and Agriculture (GFFA), that will take place in Berlin from Thursday, 16 January until Saturday, 18 January 2020.
This year’s theme will be “Food for all! Trade for Secure, Diverse and Sustainable Nutrition”. The role of the young farmers will be to address the rural youth perspective into the discussion.
The GFFA is the world’s leading international conference on key issues regarding the future of the global agri-food industry. The meeting is held in Berlin in parallel with the International Green Week (IGW).
Over 2,000 international visitors from the industry, science, civil society and politics attend the numerous public events of GFFA each year.
The political highlight is the Agriculture Ministers’ Conference attended by around 80 Ministers of agriculture from all over the world.
As in the previous editions, one representative of the young farmers’ delegation will address the Conference reading an official statement from the young farmers in front of the Ministers’ audience.
More information and updates will be circulated as soon as possible.
