TRUSTyFOOD: Towards a wide agri-food blockchain implementation
The EU-funded TRUSTyFOOD project is a collaborative effort between a consortium of partners across Europe, including research institutes, universities, and industry associations.
The project has three primary objectives:
- Developing a blockchain-based traceability system that allows consumers to track the journey of their food from farm to table, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Building a data-driven platform that connects stakeholders in the food supply chain, facilitating communication and collaboration.
- Providing training and resources to farmers to enhance their skills and knowledge of sustainable and responsible farming practices.
The project will ultimately benefit all stakeholders in the food value chain, from farmers to consumers, by fostering a culture of trust and accountability.
The World Farmers’ Organisation (WFO), as a key partner of the consortium, is responsible for gathering valuable insights and experiences from farmers around the globe. Moreover, WFO will play a crucial role in promoting the project’s activities and outcomes worldwide.
Tecnoalimenti S.C.p.A coordinates the project involving 13 partners from 7 EU countries (Croatia, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Portugal) and 1 third country (Egypt). You can find the complete list of partners at https://www.trustyfood.eu/partners/.
