Farmers4FoodSystems: Let’s Farm the Future Together!

NOW online a global campaign to ensure farmers get the right visibility and elevate their key role in food systems within the framework of the 2021 UN Food Systems Summit.

Rome, April 28, 2021 – We are pleased to announce the launch of the “Farmers4FoodSystems” Communications Campaign to ensure that farmers get the right visibility and elevate their key role in food systems within the framework of the 2021 UN Food Systems Summit.

Conceived by the World Farmers’ Organisation (WFO), “Farmers4FoodSystems” is intended to be a global campaign as all the farmers of the world are invited to be part of it together with all the actors who embrace the farmers’ vision of fair, sustainable, resilient, inclusive and transparent food systems, in which there is a decent life to be made for all who work the land and add value from the farmers to the consumers.

The campaign will bring on stage worldwide the voices and faces of the 2 billion family farmers who are relentlessly contributing to feeding us while taking care of the environment and preserving our traditions, innovating for the future.

Only by joining hands and working together we will be able to win the war against poverty, achieve food and nutrition security, fight against climate change, protect and enhance biodiversity, so leaving a better world to the next generations.

Farmers care about us and our planet: they feed our people, protect nature and want to build with us the future we all want.
